Fancy a sweet treat without the guilt?
Try this no refined sugar, gluten free, deliciously healthy bake…
I recently signed up to a workshop run by the lovely people at We Blog Mcr, they celebrate north west bloggers and organise the most inspiring workshops. The last event was in January and was all about taking your blog to the next level. I met some amazing bloggers during the day including some local food bloggers who have inspired me to get more creative in the kitchen recently.
I have always loved baking and experimenting with ingredients, particularly how I can create healthy alternatives to sweet treats. So I thought I would get back into the kitchen and recreate a classic, raspberry tray bake with all natural ingredients. This is a super quick and easy bake, cut them up into bite size pieces and they make the perfect snack with a brew or as a quick breakfast on the go. Packed with goodness from almonds and coconuts to keep you energised and flavoured with natural sweetness from tangy raspberries and fragrant honey to satisfy sugar cravings. All natural and guilt free!
Scroll down to see how I made them and pin the recipe to make later.
This one is a keeper, no doubt Ill be making this one again for friends and family to share. The ingredients are fairly cheap to source and I used few I already had in the store cupboard, which cuts the cost. You can find ground almonds and desiccated coconut in the baking aisle of most super markets. I like to use Yeo Valley natural yogurt and Lucy Bee’s Coconut oil.
With spring just around the corner, this recipe will get your dreaming of sunnier days, garden parties and picnics.
What is your favourite thing to bake at this time of the year?
