Check this out!
Last week I was luck enough to win a guest list pass for myself and a friend to attend the launch of Henry Holland’s latest collection for Habitat. I know right, I never win anything! Just goes to show those retweet competitions on twitter really do have winners! Ha!
Habitat has long been one of my favourite interior shops, so when I heard they were collaborating with House of Holland for a second season, I had to take my chances! I grabbed a train to London after work on Wednesday night and headed to the store on Tottenham Court Road with my best friend Rosie. Walking up the fuchsia pink carpet at the entrance to the store, we were greeted with an abundance of colour, prints and pattern. The store had been transformed into a tropical oasis for the evening to showcase Henry’s latest interior collection, we grabbed a cocktails and took a wander around.
The collection of cushions, bedding and upholstery features prints from the House of Holland catwalk collection, Free to Roam. Bold, tropical prints were mixed with traditional gingham checks and embroidered florals. There was plenty of textures from a neon crocheted throw to a luscious pink velvet chair, all mixed together to create the perfect spring/summer bedroom refresh. Prints didn’t stop at the accessories, they were blown up and filled the walls with floor to ceiling pattern.
To celebrate 10 years of House Of Holland this year, the famous ‘Check Me Out’ slogan from their very first fashion collection was featured on the walls and cushions. We were lucky enough to be given one of these statement cushions in a goody bag towards the end of the night, it is now taking pride of place in my bedroom.
After the event we jumped in a Uber and headed to The Hoxton Hotel in Holburn for a few more drinks. Throughout March, The Hoxton is home to its very own House Of Holland room, fully furnished with the latest collection from Henry. That certainly beats your average hotel room decor for sure. Check out their website to book.
We both had such a great night at the launch, lots of giggles and cocktails around. A big thank you to everyone who was involved in organising such an amazing evening. To see more from Henry’s second collection with Habitat and get your hands on one of those must have cushions, check out their website here.
What’s your favourite piece from the collection?
